You don't love someone for their looks, or their clothes, or for their fancy car, but because they sing a song only you can hear.

History

Towards the end of 2013 Elaine Heron had a notion to start up a community choir in her village of Traquair, inspired by Gareth Malone's choir programme on TV. However she had no idea who might direct them until the Traquair Hogmany Ceilidh brought about a chance meeting with their future Musical Director, Julie Harvey. The choir idea was set in motion. All they needed now were members!

After a few weeks rehearsals the choir gave their debut performance of a simple programme of songs for family and friends at a Midsummer Concert in the village hall. The Choir's second
birthday cake Bookings followed for Christmas performances and every outing attracted new members.

Two years old in March 2016, the choir now has 50 members. Thanks to Julie's enthusiastic leadership they have grown hugely in confidence and ability and love live performance. Their ever evolving eclectic repertoire covers a wide range of musical tastes from world music to folk, jazz classical and medieval.
